Meet Becca! Melbourne’s Experienced Bridal Alterations Specialist.

A woman with her hair in a bun, wearing a beige floral dress, standing in a room with a white curtain, a TV on the wall, and a decorative metal wall art behind her, hand sewn a wedding dress.

Becca is a bridal alterations specialist with over a decade of experience making people feel confident in their clothing. From working on films and TV shows to luxury fashion flagship stores and independent boutiques, she brings both a refined eye for detail and creativity to every gown she works on. Through combining technical precision with genuine care she ensures your dress fits beautifully and feels like it was made just for you.

Becca has completed a diploma in both garment construction and bra manufacturing. This involved one day a week at a Savile Row–led college studying pattern cutting and tailoring, while spending the other four days working at a bespoke leather motorcycle safety wear manufacturer. During this time, Becca was part of a six-person team creating garments for Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. It was from here that her sewing skills were truly perfected - working on protective garments meant there was no room for error - instilling the precision and high standards she carries into every gown she works on today.

She then moved into a small menswear suiting brand, where she led the made-to-measure department. Working closely with clients, she guided them through fabric selection, garment shape, fit, and measurements, while also completing all alterations for the business. This role strengthened both her technical expertise and her ability to deliver a highly personalised client experience.

Keen to further refine her craft, Becca went on to work at the Ralph Lauren London flagship store in alterations. It was here she discovered her passion for high-end garments and developed an in-depth understanding of handling and caring for luxury fabrics. Through extensive training in fit, pinning, sewing, and customer service, she gained experience working with a diverse clientele—including high-profile individuals—while delivering exceptional results under time-sensitive conditions.

After relocating to Australia, Becca saw the opportunity to create something of her own, and Alterations By Becca was born. While growing her business, she worked with a variety of alteration studios and alongside a local bridal designer. During this time, she was again part of a small team producing a dress range for a Real Housewives series, further broadening her experience in fashion production.
